Tobias Read appears in video about retirement savings
The state treasurer's office has gone to unusual lengths to promote the state's new retirement savings program, OregonSaves.
A new method came to our attention this week: a comical video, released July 16 on the comedy site Funny Or Die, about a fictional pioneer and buffalo chip entrepreneur, William Fromm, who attempted to get Oregonians to save for their retirement.
The mockumentary-style video, if we're not mistaken, is narrated by someone who sounds eerily like Ken Burns — and features an appearance from State Treasurer Tobias Read himself.
