Gov. Kate Brown’s new natural resources policy manager began his new gig on Monday.
Jason Miner’s surname probably does not portend his politics — he was previously the executive director of 1,000 Friends of Oregon, a group co-founded by former Oregon Gov. Tom McCall, champion of Oregon’s land use policies.
“Jason has a strong background in conservation, land use law, and coalition building,” Brown said in a statement Nov. 9. “I welcome Jason to my policy team and look forward to engaging with Oregonians to preserve and protect the long-term health of our communities and natural resources, which contribute to a thriving statewide economy.
