Two writers and a historian will discuss “Real Histories of ‘Fake’ News: The Politics of Journalism in Oregon’s Past” on Thursday at the Willamette Heritage Center.

The roundtable will feature Barbara Mahoney, author of “The Salem Clique: Oregon’s Founding Brothers”; Dick Hughes, who writes the weekly Capital Chatter column for Oregon Capital Insider; and Seth Cotlar, history professor at Willamette University.

The free public program will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dye House at Willamette Heritage Center, 1313 Mill St. SE, Salem 97301.
