Eric Hafner‘s campaign motto for election to the U.S. House of Representatives representing Oregon’s District 3 is “drop acid and vote Hafner for Congress.”
While Oregonians may be able to drop acid, they can’t elect Hafner as their representative, because he isn’t a resident of the state.
Hafner, 26, who filed paperwork to seek the Democratic nomination for U.S. District 3, has an Oregon area code but lists his residence and mailing address as Toms River, N.J.
In his online campaign filing, he lists his employment as an Antifa and Black Lives Matter activist, criminal defense consultant, ordained Rastafari minister and Hawaii sovereignty activist.
Hafner also ran in 2016 for election to represent Hawaii in the U.S. House of Representatives, according to the Honolulu Star Advertiser.
According to his website, if he’s elected, he’ll “light up a joint on the House floor on 4/20, work to create a national Tupac Shakur holiday and fight to extend voting rights to prisoners.”
