The Democratic Party of Oregon is hosting its biennial summit at Sunriver Resort next weekend, Oct. 18-20.

Every other year, Democrats gather to discuss policy and politics. This year’s topic’s include the transportation system, criminal justice, voting rights, the future of cap and trade, and a debate between the Democratic candidates for Secretary of State.

The event also draws a high-profile guest list, including top Oregon Democrats like Gov. Kate Brown and U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley. There will also be guests from out of state, including Congresswoman Sharice Davids, D-Kansas, and Rhode Island’s Secretary of State, Nellie Gorbea.
