Firefighters continue gaining ground in Oregon

As of Thursday, here’s the progress on major wildfires in Oregon as reported by the Oregon Department of Forestry:
Lionshead Fire: 203,566 acres, 15% contained, 20 miles west of Warm Springs.
Beachie Creek Fire: 192,838 acres, 49% contained, 15 miles north of Detroit.
Holiday Farm Fire: 173,094 acres, 35% contained, 3 miles west of McKenzie Bridge.
Riverside Fire: 138,029 acres, 34% contained, 2 miles southeast of Estacada.
Archie Creek Fire: 131,598 acres, 55% contained, 20 miles east of Glide.
Brattain Fire: 50,951 acres, 90% contained, 8 miles south of Paisley.
Slater Fire: 43,833 acres in Oregon, 24% contained, southeast of Cave Junction (also in Northern California).
S. Obenchain Fire: 32,671 acres, 85% contained, 5 miles east of Eagle Point.
Thielsen Fire: 9,971 acres, 30% contained, east of Diamond Lake.
