Advocates for affordable housing in Bend, environmentalist advocating for land protection and dog agility instructors in barns mixed in a
Rep. Jason Kropf, D-Bend, appeared in the virtual hearing to testify about the need for the project in his district.
“There is a struggle for us to keep up with housing,” Kropf said
“The issue is we are running out of land,” Knopp said.
A resident of Bend for 40 years, Knopp said that the last Urban Growth Boundary expansion for the city had taken over a decade.
