This week in the Oregon Capital Insider

The Oregon Legislature has returned to Salem, which, as a fellow ink-stained wretch Gideon Tucker used to say, means “no one’s life, liberty or property are safe.”  Luckily for you, the Oregon Capital Bureau’s got your back.

This week Gary Warner sniffs out a rumor that U.S. Sen Ron Wyden slipped in a secret bill to allow an early exit from his perch on the Potomac. Peter Wong walks us through the opening day posturing by both parties and Dick Hughes, as usual, has the inside scoop on the Legislature’s return to its wacky reputation. We’ve also got updates on PERS, prospects for bridge projects and guest columns by Republican and Democratic leaders in the House and Senate.

In fact, we have so much news that it doesn’t all fit here. So head to the Oregon Capital Insider website to read it all and keep up with the fun throughout the coming weeks.
