Jeremy Vandehey will leave the Oregon Health Authority, where he is director of the Health Policy and Analytics Division, to become Oregon market president for PacificSource Health Plans. Vandehey, who previously was health policy adviser for Gov. Kate Brown, starts his new gig in October. 

Nolan Pleše will join the League of Oregon Cities’ lobby team on Aug. 1, coming from the legislative office of Rep. Pam Marsh, D-Ashland. He will replace Jenna Jones, who is now state and regional affairs adviser at Metro. His portfolio will focus on telecommunications and broadband but will include energy-related issues. 

Longtime Capitol insider Elana Pirtle-Guiney has gone into business for herself, opening Confluence Solutions LLC. She worked for Oregon AFL-CIO for nine years, then Gov. Brown for six. From last November until June, she was special adviser to the Bureau of Labor and Industries commissioner.

Senate President Peter Courtney, D-Salem, appointed Sens. Chris Gorsek, D-Troutdale, and Dick Anderson, R-Lincoln City, to the Oregon Innovation Council, replacing Fred Girod, R-Lyons; James Manning, D-Eugene, to the Commission on Indian Services; and Janeen Sollman, D-Hillsboro, to the Oregon Charitable Checkoff Commission.
