JM Consulting, Go Big Media of Alexandria, VA gets 38,343.

House not in the House

McLeod-Skinner faces a similar problem to Schrader: residency. While the northeast corner of the 5th District includes Terrebonne. Though mail and maps of her ranch often say Terrebonne and it is the location she’s been associated with in the state media, her ranch is in actually in Crooked River, which straddles Deschutes and Jefferson counties. McLeod-Skinner lives on the Jefferson County side – and therefore in the 2nd Congressional District. She’s officially a constituent of U.S. Rep. Cliff Bentz, R-Ontario, the state’s only Republican in the congressional delegation.

“My strong relationship with Deschutes County is indisputable,” McLeod-Skinner said. She’ll figure out the residency issue if and when she decides to run.

Gas pains:

he national average price for a gallon of gas rose 8 cents on the week to reach $3.27.  This is the highest price since October 2014 and is primarily due to the surging price of crude oil, which crept above $80 bbl before edging slightly lower. 

“The key driver for this recent rise in the price of gas is crude oil, which typically accounts for between 50% and 60% of the price at the pump,” said AAA Spokesperson Andrew Gross. “And last week’s decision by OPEC and its oil-producing allies to not increase production further only exacerbated the upward momentum for crude oil prices.”

Redistricting
