The state capitol will hold a celebration of the state’s Asian and Pacific Islander heritage at the state capitol on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

May is National Asian and Pacific Islander month.

Events include dance and music performances.

“This event honors the culture, traditions, heritage and history of Asian Pacific Americans and kicks off the festivities happening throughout the state in the month to come,” organizers said in a press release this week.

There will be tower tours at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
